I’m Andrea Rojas —art photographer, creative director and storyteller born and raised in Mexico.
I moved to Berlin in 2015, where I studied photography at Lette Verein, and I’ve been based here ever since.
My love for film and video started when I was a kid, spending endless afternoons with my brother, José Rojas, making everything from campy music videos to thriller stories that, honestly, still make me proud.
Nowadays my work moves between videography and photography. I’m drawn to narratives that explore surrealism, empowerment, and identity — but also to the intimate, sometimes clumsy, moments of everyday life. I love capturing authentic, and strange beauty that can live in both staged and spontaneous scenes.
I see visual storytelling as a way to connect, reflect, and shift perspectives. Centering queer and BIPOC representation is at the core of my work. I believe that art, fashion, and music are deeply connected to cultural and political movements, and my goal is to use these tools to tell stories that resonate, empower, and bring visibility.
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of collaborating with artists like Alice Phoebe Lou, Von Wegen Lisbeth, Lie Ning, among others, as well as working with clients like Sony, Berliner Zeitung and Berlin Clubcommission.
Being a multidisciplinary artist, I’ve worked across the full production spectrum — from concept, directing and filming to editing — always putting my heart and passion into my work.
